FAQ
What does the Google Hotels Scraper do?
It exports Google Hotels nightly prices for a city search across a range of check-in dates. Each row is one hotel and one check-in date, with the stay length and occupancy echoed back.
What input does it need?
A search as typed into Google, for example hotels in Paris, and check-in dates as fixed dates or as days ahead. You can also set nights, adults, children, currency, country, filters and a maximum per search and date.
What fields does each hotel row have?
Name, hotel ID and link, check-in and check-out dates, nights, occupancy, currency, nightly price, hotel class, rating, review count, coordinates and the place Google matched. With per-site offers on, there is an extra row per booking site with its provider and price.
How much does it cost?
It costs $1.99 per 1,000 hotel prices and $1.00 per 1,000 booking-site offers. Hotels without a price, errors, blocked pages and duplicates are not charged.
Will the results match what I see in my browser?
The list can differ, because Google changes its hotel list between visits: two browser visits 12 minutes apart had 87% of their hotels in common in our test. Prices of the hotels returned matched the browser within 10% in 99% of cases in the same test.
How do I schedule a rolling price calendar?
Use checkInFromDaysAhead and checkInToDaysAhead instead of fixed dates. The calendar then moves forward with every run and never asks for a past date.
Which booking sites appear in the offers?
Offers we measured include Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and the hotel's own site. Each offer row has the provider, the nightly price and the total price.
What happens with a search Google does not recognise?
It is skipped, not charged and listed in the run's status message. Adding a region chooses between places with the same name, for example hotels in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Can I track specific hotels by their link?
Named-hotel tracking is coming soon, and a run with hotel links stops at once and costs nothing. Until then, run a city search with per-site offers on and filter the hotels you follow.
What does it not do?
It does not track specific hotels by link yet. It has no free-cancellation filter.
